[Contributor 1] Pepper Genome projects ; prof. Choi, Seoul National University

  • The hot pepper genome (Mexican landrace of Capsicum annuum cv. CM334) has been sequenced by an international group of scientists from Korea, Israel and USA. The sequence was published in Nature Genetics in January 2014. The official page for this genome sequences is http://peppergenome.snu.ac.kr/
  • Prof. Choi provided the pepper genome data including genome and gene sequence, track data, and annotation data available to Genome browser.
  • Also resequencing data of 120 recombinant inbred lines (RILs) were used to develop genome browser, SNP database, genetic map (bin map) construction.

[Contributor 2] Pepper resource (materials) ; prof. Kang, Seoul National University

  • Prof. Kang provided the RIL population used to develop genetic map of pepper.
  • 120 recombinant inbred lines (RILs) derived from a cross between the C. annuum cv. Perennial and Dempsey.
